Form factors of pion and kaon
Besides the vector meson poles in the form factors of charged pion and kaons additional intrinsic form factors of pion and kaons are found. A detailed study of the form factors of pion and kaons in both time-like and space-like regions is presented. Theory agrees well with data up to q ∼ 1.4GeV . In this study there is no adjustable parameter.
متن کاملThe Pion and Kaon Electromagnetic Form Factors
We use recent data on K + → π + e + e − , together with known values for the pion form factor, to derive the kaon electromagnetic form factor for 0 < q 2 < 0.125 (GeV/c) 2. The results are then compared with predictions of the Linear σ Model, a quark-triangle model and Vector Meson Dominance. The first two models describe the data at least qualitatively, but the simple Vector Meson Dominance pi...
متن کاملPion and Kaon Vector Form Factors
We develop a unitarity approach to consider the final state interaction corrections to the tree level graphs calculated from Chiral Perturbation Theory (χPT ) allowing the inclusion of explicit resonance fields. The method is discussed considering the coupled channel pion and kaon vector form factors. These form factors are then matched with the one loop χPT results. A very good description of ...
متن کاملPion and Kaon Electromagnetic Form Factors
We study the electromagnetic form factor of the pion and kaons at low-energies with the use of Chiral Perturbation Theory. The analysis is performed within the three flavour framework and at next-to-next-to-leading order. We explain carefully all the relevant consistency checks on the expressions, present full analytical results for the pion form factor and describe all the assumptions in the a...
متن کامل– 1 – Form Factors for Radiative Pion and Kaon Decays
The radiative decays, π ± → l ± νγ and K ± → l ± νγ, with l standing for an e or a μ, and γ for a real or virtual photon (e + e − pair), provide a powerful tool to investigate the hadronic structure of pions and kaons. The structure-dependent part SD i of the amplitude describes the emission of photons from virtual hadronic states, and is parametrized in terms of form factors F i , with i = V, ...
